Tank Setup & Compatibility
Heavily planted tanks with hiding spots are essential. They can be kept singly or in groups in a well-planted tank, but watch for aggression – providing visual barriers helps. They require a supply of small snails to help wear down their constantly growing teeth. Best kept in a species-only tank or with very fast-moving dither fish.
